Business Description

The position is within the Community Building and Technical Administration. The administration has a comprehensive responsibility for the municipality's investment projects, physical planning, and operation of municipal facilities such as water and sewage, waste, fiber, and roads. Additionally, the administration is responsible for land and development activities as well as the management of the municipality's operational properties. The Property and Service Department is responsible for the municipality's properties, cleaning, housing adaptations, public transport, and carpooling. The department also participates in many projects during the construction of municipal operational facilities. The municipality's property portfolio currently consists of approximately 150,000 m², mainly operational premises such as schools, nursing homes, recreational facilities, and industrial buildings.

Job Responsibilities

As the department head within the Property and Service Department, you have overall personnel, financial, and operational responsibility for the department. You lead development and improvement work, as well as being responsible for monitoring operations. You are the municipality's client representative regarding the operation and management of municipal properties and will play a leading role in renovations and extensions of municipal properties. You report directly to the head of administration. Together with other department heads, you participate in the administration's management group and have a comprehensive perspective on the administration.

Qualifications

A suitable background is an academic education, preferably with a technical focus. We consider it an advantage if you have experience in municipal operations, preferably in some type of supervisory position. It is important that you have the ability and interest to manage finances and operations from a holistic perspective. We expect you to contribute to creating understanding and collaboration between the department's operations. Your leadership is characterized by engagement and the ability to organize work effectively to achieve results. The position requires a positive view of community service and good collaboration skills for contacts both internally and externally. The position requires a valid driver's license (class B).

Working Hours/Duration

100% permanent employment. A probationary period may apply.
